Today was another retouching day. It is very exciting because I am learning a lot of new tricks and tips in Photoshop and I am also becoming faster and I can find errors or things that need to be fixed more easily. I spent all day and I even stayed late retouching the images that Nick and Travis took in Iowa for the magazine. This shots were family portraits of the Marketing Executives of the year. I had to retouch and enhance the images for the cover and the article. This kind of retouching take s along time. I find that when you have people in the pictures you usually take more time to retouch because there are more things to fix such as hair, clothes (wrinkles), skin, etc.

I practiced some head swapping on a couple images where I had to bring the face of one of the family members into another picture because he had turned around or something. This is normal especially when there are kids in the photos. It was a long process and I was sending the images as I was editing them and getting feedback from the designers and enhancing some more details after feedback. Travis also was here to help with with some details that had to be adjusted. One of the tricks that I found very useful is that after using the patch tool to remove and imperfection you can hit command>shift>f and you will be able to lower the opacity of the patch you just did.
