Today we spent most of the day going through some shots that Nick and I had taken while Travis was gone. We chose the best ones that could work for the new product packaging and I started retouching them. It took a long time to get every detail and cleaning them up pretty good. We also discussed about how the texture of the product was not looking right in one of the shots and we considered reshooting.
We discussed about some ways we could fix it in post and we tried a few things in Photoshop. Then, we tried reshooting some of the texture of the product and then masking it in the shot that we already had but that did not work very well. We also tried grabbing textures from other shots and we were not liking it either. Finally we ended up reshooting the whole product and we got a better result. This took a long time and I left work pretty late tonight.
