Creating a Surreal Movie Poster with Imagination Photography

I have always wanted to create a surreal self portrait and doing this movie poster as a project was a great opportunity to practice my imagination photography Skills. Imagination photography is about anything that is not common. I really like a phrase from one of my favorite graphic designers that says “When you look into your camera, if you see an image you have ever seen before, don’t click the shutter.” I think this is what imagination photography is all about. I decided to create my own movie for this movie poster. Many people asked my why doing my own movie and not simply copying other movie poster and doing my own version of it. I think the main reason is because I really wanted to use my imagination an create something that means something to  me. To create this movie poster I took two original pictures, I took the self portrait and the the picture of the paper plane. Here is the end result:

Here are the original images I used to create this imagination photography movie poster using Adobe Photoshop. This pictures were taken in Porter Park Rexburg Idaho, it was a pretty cloudy day so it was easy to get natural defused light. I set up a tripod and my friend Alex Brown helped me to click the shutter.
