Shooting Woman Fashion Photography

Woman fashion photography is one of my favorite kind of photography. One of the things that I like the most about woman fashion photography is the creative you can be and the amazing things you can obtain. However, one of the down things about fashion photography is that you need a good model, someone that is fearless of trying new things. I am a believer that in fashion photography the photographer does 50% of the work and the model does the other 50%. This does not mean that to do great woman fashion photography you need a super experienced model. You can get great images with less experienced models but it is not as easy. I believe that the photographer can direct the model in a shoot but to a certain extent. When the photographer is telling the model everything she needs to do, especially in woman fashion photography, the picture is going to look rigid and the movements are not going to flow.

Personally I get my best pictures when I direct a model in small things and then she does the rest. I took this pictures in the Girls Reformatory in St. Anthony Idaho.
