Shooting Man Fashion Photography
Shooting a man is not an easy task. When trying to combine a man and fashion sometimes you don’t get the best results. I always say that in portraits, and especially fashion, the model does at least 50% of the work. I have found a way to choose my models when doing man fashion photography. One of the first things I look is if they have style in the way the dress. Usually when there is a guy that knows how to dress and has style is because they like clothes, they like looking at clothing websites and buy clothes, that means that they at least have an idea about the industry and what kind of poses men do for this kind of photography. I have never gone wrong with this tip that I apply myself to choose my models for my man fashion photography.
There are less options in posing in man fashion photography because it is important to show the clothing in a very trendy and fashion way without losing the strengthens that a man is expected to have. It is even more difficult when you try to go for a Zara or H&M look cause those kind of models are hard to find. However I still love doing man fashion photography because it is challenging.
Here are some examples of man fashion photography that I took myself, I also created some ads with two clothing brands that I really like and created a fake magazine using a mock up that I borrowed from mockup world https://www.mockupworld.co/ I took this pictures in the Girls Reformatory in St. Anthony, Idaho.
