Today I went to the meeting about the magazine in the morning. The magazine is being sent out to press next week so the images that will go in it will have to be done pretty soon. Also, today I worked on shooting some glamour shots for the chocolate. Glamour shots, as I had mentioned before are shots of the product in an environment that makes the product shine and look beautiful. One of the first things that we do before anything is figuring out the style that we are going for. Last week we had a meeting in which we talked about how we wanted this shot to be and what were the specific characteristics that we wanted to show of the product. The next step is getting the props that we are going to use and figure out if we are going to have any flavor cues in the shots.
After we have all the things that we needed then we proceed to start figuring out the lighting to give the mood that we wanted to give to the shot. Its is important to know what kind of mood we want the shot to have so we can choose weather we want soft, or hard shadows. Do we want a brighter image or with a moodier feel and dark? Those are things that we had already discussed in the meeting last week so we have to make the lighting represent those things.
