Creating Pictures in an Indoor Setting with Flash Photography
For this post I would like to show how using basic speed lights can help you to create stunning flash photography effects. I used a snoot in all the pictures in this post. I will admit that taking portraits using a snoot in the speed light is pretty hard. However the effect and the results that flash photography gives is worth the effort. A portrait will always look different using a flash. In a portrait, the flash brings more details and makes it a stunning picture. The secret to master flash photography is practice practice practice. You will never master flash photography until you get to know how light works. You can look for some basic information about flash photography but you will need to go and practice. It is very possible that you will not get great results with your flash photography at first but believe me you will get to master it. This pictures were taken in an indoor setting in a cabin close to the Tetons in Wyoming. My models were Rachel Horton and Kim Makenzie. The picture of the clock was taken inside the cabin using a speed light and the directing the snoot to the table to get a reflection on the golden clock.
